More Sedona!

After a hard ride, there is nothing like finding your own little place to cool off! We went back to the house and rousted the kids to hike below Midgley Bridge to a fairly secluded little beach; complete with a huge rock to climb on and jump off!

Rob was the first one in.....is it cold honey?!

Hannah trying to not get bit by the Crawfish!

Austin in perfect form!

The rock!

Ashleigh!

Tada!

Sedona 09

Views from Brian and Amy's home in Sedona! It was so nice to wake up, grab a cup of coffee, go into the office with its wall of windows and sit in the massage chair while soaking in the views. Thanks for a great vacation guys! The rock formations have names--The small figure on the plateau is "Lucy" from the Peanuts comics and below her to the right (just above the water tower) is "Snoopy" lying on his back.

This is a looking west from the house-I think this rock includes "Coffee Pot".

The formation in the middle is "Mitten" rock

Brian and Amy (with her cup o' joe). Taken above the house in the cul-de-sac. You can't escape the views!

I'm still in my pajamas!

da Boys! At the head of one of the (Shhh) Secret Trails--Jordan Trail

Down is fun!

Brian rockin' the trail

Sam, just under "Coffee Pot" rock(its the formation on the far left edge that looks like an old fashioned coffee pot) This is also one of the many "rock cairns" that mark the trails. Whatever happend to bread crumbs?

The sink hole!

Sam and Brian on the edge!

Another view of "Coffee Pot" rock!

That's actually Sam -he just ducked behind the tree right as I was shooting!

Sam going off a big jump that none of the adults would try-what you can't see is the landing-off-camber into a ditch or cactus, your pick!

For those who don't know Sedona, the rocks and dirt are red because of the high concentration of Iron in the soil that has been oxidized (Rust!).
